Why permanent implant supported dentures could be the best solution for you
Tooth loss negatively affects your speech, confidence in your appearance and ability to chew and eat the foods you love. If you wear dentures and have lost multiple teeth, it can cause bone loss in your jaw bone and the shape of your face to change making you look older and frailer than you actually are. A fixed implant denture or false teeth implants are the only permanent solution to tooth loss. Having a permanent denture using implants, can help to restore the clarity of your speech, your confidence and ability to chew and eat the foods you love once more.
How it works
Denture stabilisation implants, often known as ‘screw in teeth’, are more secure and comfortable than regular dentures and a great way to replace missing teeth. The permanent dentures are securely fitted onto the dental implants, which are fixed into your jaw bone following a small surgical procedure. The implants integrate with the jaw bone just like natural teeth and the dentures are typically fitted using four to eight implants, which then lock onto the permanent denture. The denture will stay firmly and securely in place, but can also be removed for cleaning.
Implant supported fixed dentures will not chafe or rub on your gums unlike a traditional denture. Patients also find that chewing and speaking becomes a lot easier after receiving this treatment. This helps patients to improve their quality of life, regaining their confidence and enjoying the foods they love once again.
