Permanent Implant Supported Dentures
Losing multiple teeth causes a broad range of problems. It can affect your confidence and ability to chew and eat the foods you love. Your pronunciation may also be negatively affected. When you lose a tooth your jaw bone shrinks, as the bone beneath the gap starts to recede from lack of use. This can cause the natural shape of your face to change, making you appear much older. Dental implants can prevent this by stimulating growth in the jaw bone.
How denture implants work
Also known as ‘false teeth implants’ and ‘screw in teeth’, permanent implant dentures, provide a more comfortable and solid foundation compared to a traditional denture. The treatment is relatively pain free. Following a small surgical procedure at our state-of-the-art dental implant surgery, between four or eight titanium implants are fixed into your jaw. The implants integrate with the jaw bone to provide a strong and solid foundation on which the dentures can be placed.
A fixed implant denture is more comfortable for wearers compared to regular dentures, which can sometimes rub or chafe when a little loose. Implant fixed dentures are also easier to clean and maintain.
