“My main reason for choosing dental implants was that I wanted something that was permanent and wouldn’t give me any problems in the years ahead. I was told that dental implants would be a permanent fixture where the other alternatives certainly would not have been."
Dental implants versus dentures - a ‘no-brainer’
“When you have dentures, even if it is a partial denture, you’re worried in case it’s going to move or slip. Your whole confidence goes.
"A denture wasn’t an option for me because I don’t have the ridges in the roof of my mouth that support a denture. The dentures I’ve had to wear in the past haven’t stayed in or they’ve had to cut it back so much because I can’t even eat or swallow with all that plastic in the roof of my mouth, so having dental implants was a no-brainer for me."
‘It’s just like having my own teeth back!’
“With my job, I’ve got to speak to people all day so I decided to look into implants. You can eat what you like, you can talk, you can laugh, you can run, swim, you can do everything that you used to do. I can bite an apple, carrots stuff like that, I am very, very impressed. It’s just like having my own teeth back again after so many years. It’s just fantastic."
