Having dental implants is a relatively smooth and pain-free process. Below are a few tips for you to consider before undergoing treatment.
Please ensure you fully understand the procedure to be carried out and you have read and signed the consent forms.
Please make sure that your appointment for implant surgery is made on a day convenient for you. With some of the more complicated cases, you may experience some discomfort and swelling. This should disappear within 4 – 7 days.
If you wear a denture you will need to consider your social and professional commitments if you have been told that you will not be able to wear it during the first one or two weeks after surgery.
Please take any prescribed medicine as usual and do not starve yourself before the procedure.
Most implant placements are carried out under intravenous sedation. You will need to follow the Post Intravenous sedation instructions.
